Superb vintage detailed floral porcelain. Delicately rendered wild pink roses against a background of shadows andgreenery on a mottled creamy white field with hints of greens and pinks. Goldguilded rims and handles. The art work is outstanding. The gold guilding showsvery slight wear as seen in the photos.
These antique hand painted and artist signed porcelain platesby L.S. Fluckey. These, Apparently the previous owners were collectors ofhandpainted items. These plates were exported porcelain blanks and localartisans would hand decorate these blanks. High quality porcelain from NorthernVA estate. The porcelain was painted by Lulu Snowden Fluckey. Lulu SnowdenFluckey was trained in art in D.C at the turn of the century. She became quitepopular for her artisanship, and as a result sold well in D.C. and surroundingareas. These plates are gorgeous with their rich floral depictions and softpastel colors, Mrs. Fluckey was a skilled artistan.
