    Description

    Small Navajo Rug with Chinle Diamonds and Whirling Logs. Condition is Used. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
    The small (44"x36") rug is from the Chinle area of the Navajo Reservation. Circa 1900-1910. It is in perfect condition, complete with corner tassels. Soft, blanket-quality wool.
    The natural colors are a creamy white, dark brown and carded gray, with aniline red, yellow and tan. Banded ends and two interior bands with an interesting "train track" pattern. The dominant motifs are Chinle diamonds and a Celtic form called "Solomon's Knot". Photos show both sides.
