For proper treatment the quartz sleeve needs to be regularly cleaned or replaced. Sleeve life depends on water quality, hard water will need more frequent replacements

O-rings seal the sleeve in place and should be replaced periodically to ensure proper seal and ensure proper protection of the bulb
