    This old Navajo blanket is a 2nd / 3rd phase chiefs blanket with some very interesting design elements.  It has a second phase rectangular squares with a third phase 9 spot serrated variant pattern.  The measurements are 56.5" tall by 69" wide.  It has nice bold reds with great wide stripes.  The blanket is woven of early transitional wools in a wonderful bold pattern.  The condition is pretty good for its age.  There are a couple small holes and a couple of them have been lightly patched.  There has been some added binding to the edges to prevent fraying.  And, there are a couple spots where the binding has pulled away and there is some extra fraying.  See photos for condition.  This is a great old historical piece with bold designs.  This rug is new to the market, it  just came out of an estate here in Arizona.
