D.L. Auld 42D8331 Emergency Escape and Rescue Axe Military Aircraft Crash Axe

Description

This is an older crash axe with the part number 42D 8331 stamped on the handle.  The winged-A logo of the D. L. Auld Company is present on both sides of the top of the rubber handle.
The axe shows some aging with soiling and scuffs/scratches on both the chrome section as well as the rubber handle, but it was never used in action.  This axe came from a aircraft that was retired several decades ago and it's been part of my collection.  There is no sleeve or case - this sale is just for the axe shown in the photos.
