    Description

Estate Find, vintage folding firefighter tool, closest I can figure is a spanner wrench, tho hole is completely round, so not entirely certain if this is for hydrant or some other purpose. Stamped L F D for Lowell Fire Department.  I believe that the Lowell Fire Department and Upper Lowell Fire Department were formed in 1906 and were active until absorbed into the main Bisbee FD in 1959.
Piece weighs approx 6.2oz, is approx 7 1/2" when opened & approx 4" when folded, approx 1/2" diameter round hole at end. There is a small lip on the other end, not certain if it was from years of use or made to have a purpose. No maker name that I can find.  There is surface rust and remnants of red paint visible.
I have included photos showing examples and tried to describe and represent condition, but I am not an expert, only describing what I am aware of.  Please message with any specific questions before bidding!
