Antique 1880s Black Faille Bustle Skirt Pleated Trim & Handmade Ruched Back Panel.
Pieces of a antique 1880s bustle skirt Offered for salvaging of parts.
Two pleated hem trim panels with narrow braid pleating at the lower edge. Backed with a stiff buckram on the underside. These two panels could be repurposed in many ways.
These two pleated panels each measure 46" long x 5" wide.
Bustle portion panel of skirt black faille with hand gathered rows of ruching. The panel is 36" long in the shape of a wedge 10" at the top, 14" lower part with Sweep unfurled at the hem of 25.5"
Brown Glazed cotton lining 20" wide by 34" long
Black ungathered panel in two pieces : 19" wide x 34" long and 19.5" x 24" long
Pieces are not pristine, show various age defects which I tried to show in the photos. Combination of hand and machine sewing.
