    Description

    Historic NYFD New York City Fire Department original 1884 (“Martin B. Brown Printer & Stationer 49 & 51st Park Place N.Y.”) ledger record book. Measures approximately 14” x 9”, with marbled paper boards, leather bound, 500pgs.,very few blank., all with daily entries ranging from calls,
    maintenance, engines, personnel, breaks, leaves, taking care of horses (horse drawn days),

    formal disciplinary termination for one Private John McCormack for being intoxicated while on duty and a host of other entries too numerous to cite individually.
    Records do include official roll call, badge info and engine numbers, volunteers names, addresses and ALL firemen’s personal signatures including commissioner and acting foreman/Captain Phillip Sheridan.
